I LOVE YOU <3

And everything you said about the damn furries on deviantart was damn truth. Also true: asinine questions about what program you use. 2mil FTW. 'Grats.

LOVE

HOT DAMN has it really been a year since the first one?? Well this one is awesome too. So smooth, so well-timed.
And damn, I know what you mean about it taking longer to animate the better you get :/ YOUR WALK CYCLES ARE THE SHIT.

5/5/ 10/10 faved.

for a second there I thought you said my walk cycles were shit... :3

I've wanted to see this for awhile now, it's great that you finally posted it here. I'd still like to see it at it's original length, though. I might have to get your DVD sometime.

really well conceived, needless to say it's really impressive that you had the patience to do this in Flash. I'm most impressed that you apparenly used a mouse for everything?? WTF.
Great work.

Thank you for your appreciation and sharing your opinion.

Hmmm I've got no DVDs. I wonder if Newgrounds has any.....

Mouse = third hand. However the tablet Tom shared with me came in today! I tried it out and boy it was something else!

Very awesome.

Backgrounds and environments are what I focus on too, so I can really understand your interest in improving them in your animations. I have to admit that since you were using photographs, I was ready to be pretty critical, and in the first few scenes they sort of seemed a bit jarring when combined with the animated characters... once I got used to it though, the combination was brilliant.
The way you blended the characters into the environments always seemed to work perfectly, and the fact that the style remained really consistent throughout something that took you so long to make was also very impressive and added to the experience. Despite the fact that the story was more subdued and less action-filled than your previous two, the energy of the characters and situations still came across really well in a way that wasn't overwhelming. It was really cool to see such a success with this sort of collage medium.

5/5, 10/10, and favorited. I was really excited to see this here, it's easily one of the most ambitious, well -executed things ove seen on Newgrounds.

shiz

This is very very good, without peer in a lot of ways. Considering how nice some of your stuff in ToonBoom looks (like the D&D ads) I'm surprised that you still use flash, and on top of that, surprised that you can get work of this complexity to even play well in a flash player?

Your attention to the feel of the environments is amazing, as always.... this always draws me in a little more than just some well-animated characters would've.
Awesome. It's great (despite a few other review comments...you can't please everyone, anyways) to see a progression from the relatively light-hearted/slapstick tone of the earlier shorts toward a foreshadowing of something more serious. Any really great series has to balance those moments of comedy with something heavier, if it's to be taken as something with more meaning than a saturday morning warner bros cartoon, and perhaps just as you were running the risk of pigeon-holing the series as a kind of absurdist slapstick, you went and added something to make it worthy of a feature-length story.

Phenom. I just had to grab all your guides from your site, really interested to see how you get around all the snags that flash sets up for more novice users. Heh.

YES

What makes this even funnier is that the painterly art style is so tasteful and refined, and the way all the bitmap stuff was put together was so well-executed.

DO WANT MOAR

For some reason I found this super funny. I think it was the pacing and the tone of the voice acting or something. And definitely something to do with the looks on their faces. Win

I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE!

Awesome, expertly detailed and well-animated, and TOTALLY seeing the Gary Larson similarities like a couple other people seem to have already said.
I noticed that you comped it as video... did you do the everything thing in flash beforehand?

Looks GREAT for what it is,

but what it is ain't gonna cut it.
if you're intent on submitting WIP stuff then at least make it longer than 3 seconds, your line test work looks awesome, but sadly there just isnt enough of it to warrant a pass yet :/
